12.-15.5.2021 Gathering at Voikkaa

We got few days together to walk, talk, sleep, plan and with great weather explore the near by forests and deepen our senses into endless observations of the vividly sprouting spring forest world. We also found, with help of geocache maps and local ancient monument (muinaisjäännös) data an old pagan church on a mountain. During the wanders we recorded our chats, foraged some brain mushrooms (korvasieni, gyromitra esculenta) and enjoyed the rich environment of the forests with river, lake, bog, mountains, various forest beds, birds and ants some to mention - we saw hundreds of species of flora, many we still need to study further. New fungi, flat style brain mushroom was joyfully pointed to us by lichen that looked very much like seaweed.
