We plant some clay pieces to the places we visit in the area. These face like objects are our way to try to materialize and connect with the spirits of the rocks, lakes and forest. Clay isn't fired, so it evolves.
Midsummer night was on it's way. It's not always easy to get to the lakes. Sometimes the roads are blocked or there are none. We ventured to Tukia lake but couldn't find a way to Kalmosaari. We passed by Harjujärvet, Iso-Musta and Valkee but decided that the place had not enough challenge for us and ended up to Suuri-Pääsiäinen (Great Easter !!?). ...
Through a forest filled with mosquitoes we ventured and found the center of the reserved area, Hietajärvi-lake. Paskonmäki, Kelkänmäki, Palosaari and little streams that connect this lake to others. Sleeping in hammocks on an island that had no name.
1.6.2021 is the day to publish our blog yay! Now we have exactly 19 months left to dedicate for the Hietajärvi2020:0057 area - the reservation has been made until 31.12.2022.
